Choosing outfits that reflect your style is important for your senior portraits.. I highly recommend bringing a mix of classic outfits and trendy outfits. Props and hobbies are also a fun way to add interest to your photos.

Planning is important to getting the photos you want from your session. Let me know what props, ideas, or photos you are interest in creating so I can make sure we get them during your shoot. You can also create a Pinterest board with ideas for your shoot.

Come Prepared for More Than One Outfit

There are several that you'll want to memorialize forever. Girls, break out that prom dress and capture it one last time. Bring a black shirt or dress along with you: it'll create a striking picture that will stand out against a variety of backdrops. Don't forget to include one casual-cute outfit that includes jeans: this is what you wear every day, and you'll want to be able to look back on your high school style for years to come.

Shoes Matter

When you think of senior pictures, you might imagine the ones that go in the yearbook at first: those boring, formal shots that only capture you from the waist up. For these pictures, however, you'll be captured from all sorts of different angles. Bring along your boots, heels in a couple of different colors, and any fun, funky footwear that characterizes your high school style.

Go Bright and Bold

Sure, black and white has its place. For your senior pictures, however, you want to go bright and bold. Add a dress or top in a bold color, use a scarf to show off your personal favorite shade, or bring on the sparkle with sequins and glitter.

As you're planning your outfit, you should be sure to include the accessories. Even simple earrings will show up beautifully in your senior pictures, so choose them with care.
